Microphone configurations

There are many different microphone configurations, not all are suited for wildlife sound recording. On the WSRS workshop in September 2015, we took the opportunity to set up as many configuration as we could and do a "clock test" and a "key test". We set the different configurations on a tripod in an open grassy area, to make sure we stayed the same distance from the mics at all times we tied a cable form the tripod to the walker as he circumnavigated around the setup.

All recording were made at the same time using a Nagra LB.

Thank you to all the WSRS members, who lent us their equipment to carry out this test.

Below are the recordings and an image of the setup.
