WSRS was delighted when Sennheiser agreed to sponsor its Annual Recording Competition in 2005. Winners were presented with their prizes at the Annual General Meeting and Members' Day.

The AGM and Members' Day is a magnet which attracts recordists from throughout the UK as well as from abroad. The day is a great opportunity to get together with fellow recordists, try out the latest bits of kit, listen to some fantastic sounds and pick up recording tips.

Chris Edwards won the prize for the overall winner of the Competition for his recording entitled "Szilvas Volgy" and received prizes of a Sennheiser ME66 mic, powerpack and Rycote windshield from Sennheiser's John Willett.
