Membership Information Pack Delays

Members please note that I am being delayed in posting out the February Newletter and Membership Labels/Stickers to you, on account of the enormous number of late subscription payers for 2010.

To give a context, according to the latest information at my disposal, some 51% of the membership had failed to pay subs as late as 26th January 2010. I am required also to send out your Membership Sticker complete with Members' Area access codes, but clearly cannot do this realistically under the circumstances. I have the Newsletter here by me as I write, waiting for an update on the situation.

May I remind those late-payers amongst you that the WSRS subscriptions for 2010 were due by 31st December 2009. Late payments cause your officers an awful lot of unnecessary work, in addition to delaying the schedule for those who do pay on time.

So, for those of you who have duly paid subs., and are wondering where the February Newletter and Membership Sticker are, you now know who or what to blame. Furthermore, I recall from conversations with previous Treasurers that it tends to be the same individuals every time who cause this problem.

I am cognisant that the delay does tend to reflect badly on my scheduling, but there really is nothing that I can do to accelerate the process, other that to post this reminder --- which will probably be read only by a minority of the membership.
